REPORT ON PARENT–TEACHER MEETING

A Parent–Teacher Meeting for the III Semester students of the Department of Biochemistry, St. Joseph’s College for Women (A), Gnanapuram, Visakhapatnam, was conducted on 29th September 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Palukurty Mary Anupama, Head and Assistant Professor, and Dr. Mousami Shanker Addala, Assistant Professor, Department of Biochemistry. The meeting provided an opportunity for the faculty to interact with parents and discuss the academic performance and examination results of the students.

The results of the students were discussed with the parents, highlighting their academic progress and areas requiring further attention. Faculty members also interacted with the parents regarding the students’ overall academic development and encouraged continued cooperation between parents and the department to support the students in achieving better outcomes.

The parents expressed their satisfaction with the academic progress and the efforts of the Department of Biochemistry. They appreciated the faculty for their guidance, support, and commitment towards the students’ academic development.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, strengthening the collaboration between the department, faculty, students, and parents for the continued academic and overall development of the students.

Report on Beach Clean up activity for Gandhi Jayanthi

The St. Joseph’s College Rangers Team of St. Joseph’s College for Women (A), Gnanapuram, Visakhapatnam, organized a Beach Cleanup Activity at YMCA Beach on 2 October 2026, commemorating Gandhi Jayanthi. The programme was conducted from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM under the leadership of Dr. P. Mary Anupama, Ranger Leader, with the active participation of 21 Rangers.

The activity was organized with the objective of creating awareness about environmental cleanliness, responsible citizenship, waste management and the importance of protecting marine and coastal ecosystems. The Rangers enthusiastically participated in cleaning the beach surroundings and collecting waste from the shoreline. Through their collective effort, the students demonstrated that environmental protection is not merely a responsibility of authorities but a shared responsibility of every citizen.

The programme was particularly meaningful as it was held on 2nd October, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, whose principles of cleanliness, simplicity, service and community participation continue to inspire generations. The activity reflected the spirit of Gandhi’s message that meaningful social change begins with individual responsibility and collective action.

The day also marks the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, who was also born on 2nd October 1904. His famous call, “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan,” highlighted the importance of both national service and the contribution of farmers to the country. His emphasis on collective effort and service provides an additional inspiration for activities undertaken for the welfare of society.

The programme concluded with the Rangers reaffirming their commitment to clean surroundings, environmental responsibility and community service. Visakhapatnam, 2 October 2026: The St. Joseph’s College Rangers Team, St. Joseph’s College for Women (A), Gnanapuram, Visakhapatnam, organized a Beach Cleanup Activity at YMCA Beach on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi and the birth anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri.

The programme was conducted from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM under the leadership of Dr. P. Mary Anupama, Ranger Leader, with the enthusiastic participation of 21 Rangers. The activity was organized to inculcate the values of clean surroundings, environmental responsibility and community service among the students. The Rangers actively participated in cleaning the beach and collecting waste, demonstrating their commitment to protecting the environment and contributing to the well-being of the community.

Dr. Sr. Shyji, Principal of St. Joseph’s College for Women (A), appreciated the Rangers for their enthusiasm, discipline and commitment towards the cause of environmental cleanliness and community service. She encouraged the students to continue such socially responsible initiatives.

The programme served as a meaningful reminder that small collective actions can create a cleaner, healthier and more responsible society.

విశాఖపట్నం, 2 అక్టోబర్ 2026: గాంధీ జయంతి మరియు భారత మాజీ ప్రధానమంత్రి లాల్ బహదూర్ శాస్త్రి జయంతి సందర్భంగా, సెయింట్ జోసెఫ్స్ కాలేజ్ ఫర్ ఉమెన్ (A), జ్ఞానాపురం, విశాఖపట్నంకు చెందిన సెయింట్ జోసెఫ్స్ కాలేజ్ రేంజర్స్ టీమ్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో వైఎంసీఏ బీచ్‌లో బీచ్ క్లీనప్ కార్యక్రమం నిర్వహించారు.

రేంజర్ లీడర్ డా. పి. మేరీ అనుపమ నాయకత్వంలో ఉదయం 7:00 గంటల నుంచి 8:30 గంటల వరకు నిర్వహించిన ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో 21 మంది రేంజర్స్ ఉత్సాహంగా పాల్గొన్నారు. విద్యార్థుల్లో పరిసరాల పరిశుభ్రత, పర్యావరణ పరిరక్షణ పట్ల బాధ్యత, సమాజ సేవా భావన వంటి విలువలను పెంపొందించడమే ఈ కార్యక్రమం ప్రధాన ఉద్దేశ్యం. రేంజర్స్ బీచ్ పరిసరాలను శుభ్రపరచడంతో పాటు చెత్తను సేకరించి, పర్యావరణ పరిరక్షణ పట్ల తమ బాధ్యతను చాటుకున్నారు.

కాలేజ్ ప్రిన్సిపాల్ డా. సిస్టర్ షైజీ రేంజర్స్ సేవాభావాన్ని, క్రమశిక్షణను మరియు పర్యావరణ పరిరక్షణ పట్ల వారి నిబద్ధతను అభినందించారు. ఇటువంటి సామాజిక బాధ్యతాయుత కార్యక్రమాలను కొనసాగించాలని విద్యార్థులను ప్రోత్సహించారు.
