National Student Paryavaran Competition

 Report on Participation in the

National Student Paryavaran Competition (NSPC 2026)

The Department of Biochemistry, St. Joseph's College for Women (Autonomous), Visakhapatnam, actively encouraged students to participate in the National Student Paryavaran Competition (NSPC 2026), an environmental awareness initiative organized under the theme "Sowing to Growing" and supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change and the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

On 25th July 2026, more than 20 undergraduate students from the Department of Biochemistry enthusiastically participated in the online environmental quiz. The competition aimed to enhance students' knowledge of environmental conservation, biodiversity, climate change, sustainable practices, and the importance of individual responsibility in protecting nature. As part of the event, participants were also encouraged to engage in tree plantation activities and upload a selfie while planting a tree, promoting environmental stewardship through practical action.

The quiz provided an excellent platform for students to test their environmental knowledge while fostering ecological awareness and responsible citizenship. The active participation of the Biochemistry students reflects the department's commitment to promoting sustainability and encouraging students to contribute towards environmental protection. All participants became eligible to receive an e-certificate in recognition of their involvement in this nationwide initiative.
