Day 2- RFLP and running of agarose gels
The students were again introduced to RFLP and each
student could load the gel of both RFLP and RAPD and set the gels in the
electrophoresis equipment.
Transformation experiment results were shown to the students. Blue colony indicates transformed cell with which are non-recombinants. White colonies indicate recombinant plasmid transformed cells. Control cells were kept which are not transformed with plasmids. Since ampicillin was added, bacteria could not grown.
