REPORT

The Department of Biochemistry, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam have organized a Two day National Workshop on Molecular and Immuno techniques as a part of their Annual Event BIOCHIMIKA. The event included hands-on training on Laboratory techniques like RAPD, SDS-PAGE, Immuno electrophoresis and transformation techniques. They showed the equipment in the laboratory during the two days stay. HiMedia has sponsored the event. Two students have joined the event, Miss Yasha Sri and Miss Priyanka of 2nd BBC.

Outreach activity with 2nd BBC students to Rakshnagiri church

Target group- 2nd BBC students (45)

Place of visit- Rakshnagiri church having 60 sisters who dedicated thier lives for prayer. they were donated groceries. they mother sisiter prayed fro the students for their education.

Outreach acitivty to Rakshnagiri

 

OUTREACH ACTIVITY

 Target group: 2nd BBC

Place of Visit- Rakshanagiri, Gnanapuram, Visakhapatnam

Timing- 10.0 am to 1.0 pm

REPORT

The students of 2nd BBC and the faculty of Biochemistry have done an outreach activity. As a part of this they volunteered to donate groceries for the 60 sisters living in a church of rakshna giri. The students have donated rice, wheat flour, oil, soya balls, soaps, surf etc for the sisters who have limited sources of income. They make bread and raise money from that. They do not come outside and live there only as they have committed their lives for the God. The sisters felt very happy seeing the students and prayed for them, for their education and prosperity.

We thank the management of SJCW for their support. Special thanks to Raju sir and Mr Uday of physics for accompanying us.
