The rangers of St.
Joseph’s College rangers team did plantation at home on the occasion of
Environment day. Caring for environment must start at home and hence students
were asked to do the same at their home and the vicinity places.

The PG chemistry students were taught planar chromatography and also column chromatography
The seocnd year Biotechnology major students also performed the experiment
using paper chromatography, pink color and dark blue color of sketches were seperated.
in the column a mixture of pink and blue colour were added and separated
the paking material was ground sucrose and solvent was butanol for separation of dyes of skethces and also for separation of neem plant pigments.
The senior intermediate students who have completed Pravesh examination 3 months back were given certificates. The chief guest for the program was Dr E. Harini, Hod, Dept. of Zoology, St. Joseph's College for Women (A). Madam has congratulated the students who really worked hard for the past 6 month. thier meticulous execution of tasks and the way they volunteered in college activites and also exelsior activities was appreciated. they were adviced to go for many camps being organized at National and International level and bring laurels to the college.
