REPORT
ON THE EVENT- CONSTITUTION DAY
Date- 26th January, 2022
Constitution Day is celebrated
throughout the country on 26th November. This is to commemorate the adoption
of the Constitution of India which took place on 26th November, 1949
and it came into effect on 26th January, 1950. Since 2015, which
marked the 125th year of Birthday of Dr B R Ambedkar, the Founder of
Indian Constitution, this day is being observed throughout the country.
As a part of the celebration,
this year the State Government has asked all colleges to make it a point to
read the Preamble of Indian constitution at 11am sharp. St. Joseph’s College
for women(A), observed this day and all the students read the preamble at a
time. Over 500 students participated in the event which include- Intermediate,
UG and PG students with their teachers.
