REPORT ON THE EVENT-  CONSTITUTION DAY

                                                                Date- 26^th  January, 2022

 

Constitution Day is celebrated throughout the country on 26^th November. This is to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India which took place on 26^th November, 1949 and it came into effect on 26^th January, 1950. Since 2015, which marked the 125^th year of Birthday of Dr B R Ambedkar, the Founder of Indian Constitution, this day is being observed throughout the country.

As a part of the celebration, this year the State Government has asked all colleges to make it a point to read the Preamble of Indian constitution at 11am sharp. St. Joseph’s College for women(A), observed this day and all the students read the preamble at a time. Over 500 students participated in the event which include- Intermediate, UG and PG students with their teachers.
